SMD Soldering - Part I
Resistors, Capacitors ans other simple 2-terminals devices
Soldering two-terminal SMD components is pretty easy with a soldering iron. It's better to have a fine soldering tip.
Do the following:
- Deposit generous amount of tin on one of the two pads
- Position component with twizzers while using soldering iron to keep tin melted
- Make sure that component is perfectly laid down. Apply gentle pressure with twizzers to make sure if you have any doubt
- When you are happy with the component position, solder the second terminal
